Tiziana Sassoli established the Fondantico Gallery in 1992 and she has been dealing in Old Master paintings for over thirty years, specializing in the Italian school especially in the Emilian area from the 16th to 18th century. Particular attention to quality and condition of the works of art is the main concern of the acquisition policy and the results arouse the interest of national and international collectors, as well as museums. The gallery’s reputation has been built exactly on these rigorous standards, which also determine the selection of paintings. The gallery holds regular exhibitions accompanied by scholarly catalogues. Edoardo Battistini, son of Tiziana Sassoli, deals in Bolognese painting of the 19th and 20th century, setting up exhibitions with fully illustrated catalogues. Close collaboration with art historians and museums demonstrates the Gallery’s success in working with institutions, bank foundations and museums. Tiziana Sassoli regularly takes part in major national and international art fairs like the Florence International Biennial Antiques Fair, Modenatiquaria, Amart and TEFAF Maastricht, by which she maintains continuous connections with institutions and museums.
