Velona Antichità was established by Pasquale Velona in 1960 and is now overseen by his son Furio; its location in Via dei Fossi 31r in Florence dates back to 1963. His son Filippo also entered the family business in 2010. The Gallery offers a selection of Italian, English and French pieces of furniture spanning from several 18th century Tuscan and Venetian items to Victorian British furniture, the French Empire and the Tuscan Direttorio period. Kunihiko Omori, belonging to an ancient family of samurai, initially follows in the footsteps of his father and undertakes a career in the banking sector, to then dedicate more and more time to painting, art of which he learned the rudiments at the age of nine. Starting in 1995, he visits Florence at least once a year, creating beautiful paintings in the open air in oil depicting views and views of the city.
