Galleria Berardi specialises in artists active in Italy between the beginning of the 19th century and the middle of the 20th century. Since 2013, the Gallery has held numerous monographic exhibitions (including those of masters like Karl Brjullov, Hermann Corrodi, Leonardo De Mango, Francesco Paolo Michetti and Giulio Aristide Sartorio) with the publication of entire catalogues, intended as opportunities for in-depth historical and artistic study, which accompany the sales exhibitions. The Gallery also regularly organises exhibitions of miscellaneous works by different artists, while the gallery’s clients are updated monthly with new acquisitions, almost exclusively from private collections. The Berardi Gallery participates in the Florence International Biennial Antiques Fair. Its clients include prestigious national and international museums (including Museo Sorolla in Madrid and Museo delle Civiltà in Rome). The gallery, located in Corso del Rinascimento in Rome, is also the logistical headquarters for the cataloguing of works by several artists whose catalogue raisonné is being prepared by the gallery (we mention Camillo Innocenti, Francesco Paolo Michetti and Arturo Noci). Gianluca Berardi is an art historian and professor at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, and a founding member of the “Archivio dell’Ottocento romano”, a cultural association dedicated to the deepening of the history of art in Rome during the 19th century, through exhibitions and publications. Gianluca Berardi is the author of various essays published in the most illustrious national and international scientific magazines and of a number of monographs on 19th century artists.
