The gallery "SURPRISE Paola Cuoghi" was founded by the owner, Paola Cuoghi, on 17th November 1959. Born in the historical heart of Modena, it was located in Via Ganaceto 28, where it still stands after over 50 years. The gallery deals mostly in furniture, paintings and works of art from the 16th to the 18th centuries, with a keen interest in 18th century Venetian furniture. Since 1996 Riccardo Verri, Paola’s son, works alongside her, carrying on the family legacy. “SURPRISE Paola Coughi” regularly takes part in the most important art fairs in Italy: the Florence and Rome International Biennial Antiques Fair; Gotha in Parma and Modenantiquaria.
